The Book
As you can probably see... the list below are those who are recognized for their accomplishments and skill. Scroll below to see information and possibly a picture or video of each individual. Others will be added as I gain information over time.
It's hard to recall how long I've known Brutal...he's a very friendly person who likes to joke around a lot. But please... don't let his craziness fool you into thinking he's a weak fighter because he's incredibly skilled and tends to beat many well-known and accomplished fighters. Brutal was a former member of the first KO and proved to be a very valuable member. Brutal rarely comes on nowadays, but he will always be remembered.
This guy was a very good fighter during his prime. He just loved to fight, and that's why he played Sherwood. No matter how many times someone beat him, he never gave up, always coming back from the dead to fight again, and again, and again until that person dropped before him. Known for being a strong KO, Bounce has defeated many opponents and has always had a very non-aggressive fighting style. Bounce has also been in the clan Mayhem Makers, which was a clan he founded about a year ago in 2008. He's a pretty cool guy, doesn't say much, but will definitely contribute to a conversation when he feels the need to.
Beppy falls close to the line with Show... Bep (like Show) got incredibly strong during his first few months of playing Sherwood (he even started during the same period of time). Many people nowadays know Beppy and are most likely friends with him. He's known for beating tons of people and very rarely ever losing. The World, Bermudian, Kidfist (being his first), Bear, and Beppy are all in the list of names he has used during his time on Sherwood Dungeon. Anyways, it is impossibly difficult to be angry at Bep because he's a very benevolent person, but be warned that he will not tolerate any crap given to him by other people. He's been in quite a few clans also... GKA (the first version), GOW, KO, Riffs, UOISS, LV, LtA, SC, P, WL (White Lighters- his own clan), and now he's in NA. Activeness is not his strong suit though, he rarely gets on anymore and has been busy with other things (which is a shame).
Cloud is an incredibly old player and has been here for a considerably long time. His first clan in Sherwood Dungeon was Pro-J, which was Sephiroth's clan that was created before NL. They eventually made the Night Lords clan (back when it was exclusive), which became incredibly successful and lasted a very long time. After NL, he helped lead the Templar Knights clan (TK), but then left it to join () with Exile. Cloud was also one of the first and original members of the Night Angels (NA), and had recruited many members. His loyalty and hard work to the clans he has been in is greatly matched by his skill. Although he claims he was better back in the beginning, we still find him to be a formidable opponent. If you ever meet Cloud, consider yourself lucky, because he's a great guy to hang out with.
For a while this guy went under two names (both being "brothers"): Cratos and Pein. Cratos being the elder, more mature person and Pein being obnoxious and hyper. When he was under Cratos, he was known for being a strong leader and dominant fighter: leading GKA and being a high-ranking member in LV. Under Pein... well, he killed tons of people and used his old catch phrase "PWNT U SUCK." The last clan he was in was IKO and he is now just known as Pein. Be warned though... Pein could easily return to Sherwood and dominate the game due to his expansive knowledge of fighting techniques. Many consider Pein as one of the greatest fighters the game has ever seen and he is spoken of by players that never saw him during his prime. Pein also created the legendary group Lighter Than Air back in ruby during 2008 and went under the mysterious alias of Aeon. He has been in several legendary clans such as (), KO, LV, GKA, SC, and DH.
Leading a rebellion against the Black Warriors (BW), Darklord managed to create the Red Warriors clan (RW). RW was an anti-BW clan (like most clans were back then) and had formed an incredible force... until he went away for several weeks and it managed died out. His clan had managed to rebuild itself, but their attempts were all unsuccessful due to poor leadership and the activity of its members. Darklord doesn't come on very often nowadays. He quit Sherwood for reasons due to real life and some of the players on Sherwood, which is a shame because he had a very different, but effective fighting style. He will always be remembered as being a great leader and leading the first rebellion in Sherwood Dungeon's history.
This guy is possibly the most famous person to ever set foot in the Sherwood video games. Exile has created many successful clans during his stay on Sherwood, like: LK, (), Knights of Old, the remakes of the Dream Haunters, the Grand Order, and the Legends of Valor. He also assembled the Horde alliance (KO, (), sK, RW, etc), which (for some reason) is often mistaken as () the clan. His amount of names are paralleled with the amount of clans he created... Exile has used Shockwave, T-Dog, Exile, BigSteel, Unbeatable, Judge, Priest, Joker, TheLastFlower, HighHopes, Khan, and many more... He is also known for his fighting skills, which surpasses many others in combat and has recently achieved the top spot in Sherwood as he did years ago. Exile has left and come back numerous times during his time on Sherwood, but eventually announced sometime in August of 2008 that he left permanently. This not being 100% true, he recently came back to remake KO. Exile has been apart of several remakes of his earlier clans such as DH, KO, and (). If anyone actually deserves the title of "legend," it would be Exile.
For those who do not know Eternal... you have been living under a rock. He has been a key figure in Sherwood's history for quite some time. Known for creating EW and being in the original Riffs, Eternal has proven to be quite famous. He also created GKA as well as helped create LV (which was also created by Exile). LV was one of the strongest clans in 2008 and took on countless numbers of clans and still managed to win. When he's leading a clan or when he's not, Eternal always tends to push people's buttons. He loves to make sarcastic and humorous comments to many people (especially his enemies) which causes a lot of people to laugh. Also, I forgot to mention that Eternal was a very skilled player. He beat many people and tended to keep his reputation at a good status for a while. Anyways, I think he deserves to be on this site and he shall always be remembered. Some of Eternal's names include Audacious, Valdentia, and Enlightened One.
Fate has an insanely famous reputation of being one of the best fighters in Sherwood history. He was often considered to be just as good (if not better) than Exile, but some people say this wasn't true. Fate ran a clan called Ancient Templars (AT) back in 2006 or 2007 that he created. It was one of many clans he attempted to make (usually becoming unsuccessful), but even though he wasn't the best clan maker his skill makes up for it. Lance considered him a laid back guy who was very wise and a role model for Sherwood players.
Fudd's a pretty cool guy and he's one of the few people that has never changed his name while on Sherwood. One of his really great qualities about is that he NEVER quits a clan until it dies. His loyalty has been noticed in KO, NL, LV, BW, and possibly more. He has great leadership skills and he displayed them while he was in BW. Fudd was quite possibly BW's best fighter has now been added to the list of BW's chiefs and had proven to be a good leader of it (even though he's not the most active of people).
Grim was an all around great fighter during his prime. I do not know when Grim came to Sherwood, but I know for sure that he has been playing for quite some time. Grim was famous for founding his famous Hall of Fame website for skilled Sherwood players, which was one of the first top fighting sites. He has been in many clans, such as RW, SK, DH, and NA. He eventually quit NA to join DH, but it died shortly within a week after it's creation by Murder and Exile. Ever since DH's death, Grim has fallen severely inactive and hasn't been seen for a while.
There are many Killers in Sherwood, but this one puts a G in his name to keep himself apart from the others. G-Killer was the Prince (or second leader) in () and had (and still has) great leadership skills. He has a very unique style, but it is quite similar to Exile's (meaning it's a fairly effective in combat) He's a relaxed kind of guy that rarely ever engages in arguments with others and is very friendly. He's a great guy to chat with, an amazing leader, and a very versatile fighter. G-Killer has been in several well-known clans such as DH, IKO, and IR.
Huey has been around Sherwood a long time and he was one of the original members of TK (Templar Knights), and he remains the only member to this day. He wasn't known for fighting until he started using the alias Xuji. Huey is no longer active but stops in to visit every once in a while. Huey was always very humble when I've chatted with him and was one of the friendliest players on the game.
From what I know, he has been in KO, Riffs, and IKO. He was one of the primary members of Riffs and was one of the original KO. The last clan he was in was IKO, but that was years ago. Many people consider him to be the prodigy of Spendorf but to be honest... he's a great player by his own right. He should be remembered for his own name and his own reputation instead of being intertwined with Spendorf.
Lance is possibly considered one of the smartest and wisest individuals in Sherwood's history. He didn't have many names except Aurora and Pegasus (which he used when he was leading SK). Lance is rarely ever mad and has incredibly good principles which is a valuable quality within a person. Lance first started to play almost the moment Sherwood Dungeon came out and immediately set off to work on the Daily Sherwood website, which inspired many to create a news site of their own. Lance had a very different style, it leaned a little more on the defensive side rather than offensive. He's the real founder of NA and he came to Rogo with the idea of creating it back in 2010.He no longer plays Sherwood Dungeon anymore, and probably won't ever come back (he was very serious about not coming back).
Often referred to as Bob, Psalms is known by just about everyone on Sherwood these days. He's considerably sociable on Sherwood and tends to be very friendly to those he is friends with. Psalms first joined NRG in 2007 and eventually moved to Sapphire to join LV after encouragement from Pein and Show. After this, he then joined several clans and can be found just about everywhere now. Many people also look at Psalms as an incredible fighter and he rarely ever loses when he fights his best.
Ryder has a record that is almost flawless and he is best known for his no block style. Some have said Ryder timed so well that he didn't even need to block. This guy is considered a legend by many (most of whom never met him) and is probably the most overrated Sherwood fighter in the history of Sherwood Dungeon.
Reptile was considered one of the best fighters in Sherwood many times during his time on Sherwood. Some people consider him arrogant and there may be some truth to that, but he is a fun guy to hang around and I have never really had a problem with him. Reptile is a very skillful opponent and rarely ever loses when he fights his best. He has been in tons of clans including KO (a while back) and PWN. Reptile was also one of the first fighters to quickly adapt and become dominant using power moves after the updates in 2009.
Sasaku was in several clans and groups such as TK, RW, KO, DH, GKA and NA. Trained by Cloud many years ago, he has become recognized for being a LDR-A in both the old RW, and the new and you can always count on him to be able to contribute numerous ideas for a clan or situation. He's an interesting person to be around and is extraordinarily loyal to any organization he is in. Sasaku's fighting skill has always surpassed his other qualities by a long shot. He doesn't come on anymore now, and I don't really know where he went off to. Some have suspected him of secretly playing on different names such as Crying Blade or SunShangXiang but none of these rumors could be confirmed.
Snake is easily one of the greatest fighters to ever play Sherwood and was trained by Exile. He has proven himself to be a great clan member and has been in many clans and groups such as KO, Riffs, and Elements of Chaos (his own clan he created with Speedy). Snake also held a high position (if not the highest) on multiple Top Ten sites and has proven time and time again that he is a skilled player. Despite his abilities, Snake was never outwardly arrogant towards others and had an extremely relaxed personality.
Spendorf is one of the most well-known names in Sherwood history. He is very wise, but he can also be a jerk at times if you offend him. He's on here for how good he was and still remains and his contribution towards Riffs. Spendorf is now the leader of Riffs, and he is considered a legend by many, including those who have high standards. Spendorf gets on every once in a while now, you can usually find him hanging around different rooms. He's a little rusty but he still is an incredible fighter. He has also become very kind and humble recently, which is a good change for him.
This guy is one of the most dominant fighters Sherwood has ever seen. Show has beaten countless amounts of extremely powerful and well-known fighters. He started around the middle of 2007 and got insanely good in only 5 months after being trained by players like Snake and Pein. He has been in many clans such as EOC, LV, GKA, UOISS, and KO. Unfortunately, Show left Sherwood due to the updates (like many older fighters) and boredom of Sherwood, He possibly has a better record than Ryder does and would most likely beat him if he were to ever come on. Show is probably today's version of Ryder, except without the Speed Gear rumor. Some think he is also the most arrogant person to ever set foot onto Sherwood, but he has always backed up his talk with win after win. Show's name continues to resonate years later with newer players and those who saw him fight know he deserves this.
Being a former member of the Sherwood classic clan, the Rebels, Sharky joined Riffs when he came to Sherwood Dungeon, and was one of the first to join. He is very friendly, laid-back, and likes to enjoy himself rather than fight with others. His other names to my knowledge are Shaolin Fist, Wannaeboi, and Nemo but he's mostly known just as Sharky. Even today, Sharky has remained loyal to Riffs and has never given up on it. Sharky is also considered very skillful and even now could easily compete with many of the top players if he wanted to.
Vulcan is a bit complicated... Numerous people tend to think he's a jackass but he's actually a great individual to know (if he likes you of course). He's hilarious in how he starts random arguments almost every time he gets on Sherwood and the points he makes in each argument are usually too much for others to handle. He was a member of KO under the name Torment and created the Sky Clan (SC), which was a fantastic clan that lasted several months. SC was a bit different than the rest of the clans on Sherwood considering it valued loyalty above most qualities. Vulcan isn't seen very much anymore but he is held in high regard even by newer players that have only met him a few times.
Although Spirit has many rumors surrounding her such as being a man or using Cheat Engine to win, her dominance as a female is undeniable. I am not exactly sure when Spirit began playing Sherwood but she is one of the only female fighters to absolutely dominate the male fighters. She has been on several fighting sites during her prime and could have easily held the top spot on every server if she wanted. Spirit has trained fighters such as Zinedine, Psalms, Flipper, and Atomic and deserves credit as a trainer on top of her fighting ability.
A very famous name in Sherwood, WarriorChief created the longest lasting clan in Sherwood's history known as Black Warriors. He was known for having two ruby war hammers and sitting on his rock outside the castle. During his reign in BW, he was very strict (sometimes kicking out people who didn't wear grey). WarriorChief eventually left Sherwood and in his honor, the highest rank in BW was named "Chief." He still comes on Sherwood to visit sometimes but is rarely active anymore.
